I’m based in North London, just a short walk from Seven Sisters tube station: The Archives, Unit 10, The High Cross Centre, Fountayne Road, London N15 4QN.
The studio is easy to reach by public transport, and detailed directions will be shared after booking.
What should I bring to the photoshoot?
To make the most of your headshot session, bring at least eight different tops. Here are some suggestions:
A neatly pressed black shirt (for men).
A black dress (for women).
A black and white t-shirt or top.
A selection of colour tops or scoop-neck tops with ‘V’ or round necklines.
A turtleneck jumper (always a strong choice for headshots).
A few of colored tops that complement your eye color.
A structured jacket or blazer for a professional, polished look.
Here’s a little cheeky tip from me: pop into your favorite shop and grab a few items from my list that you wouldn’t normally wear. Just keep the tags on, and after the shoot, you can return them. But shhh... you didn’t hear that from me.;)
Tip2: Avoid clothing with prints, patterns, or logos, as they can draw attention away from your face. Wide necklines or scoop tops work well to elongate the neck and highlight collarbones.
If you’re unsure what to bring, don’t worry—I’ll help you make the right choices on the day!
What about hair and makeup?
Keep it natural and authentic to how you usually look:
For women: A light, everyday makeup look works best to even out skin tone and subtly enhance features.
For men: Clean grooming is ideal, whether that’s a fresh shave or a neatly trimmed beard.
You can make small adjustments to your makeup or hairstyle during the session if you’d like to explore different looks. Minor blemishes will be professionally retouched, so there’s no need to stress.
The goal is to showcase your true self, making it easy for agents and casting directors to imagine you in roles.
What happens during the session?
The session is designed to feel relaxed, collaborative, and tailored to you. Here’s what you can expect:
A quick chat: We’ll begin by discussing your goals—whether you’re targeting specific types of roles, building your portfolio, or preparing for auditions.
Studio and outdoor shots: We’ll start in the studio and, if the weather allows, use nearby outdoor locations to capture natural light shots for variety.
Exploring character and emotion: I’ll guide you through different expressions and character types that reflect your casting potential. For example, we might explore a confident, professional look, a warm and approachable vibe, or something with depth and intensity.
Progress checks: Throughout the session, I’ll show you the images as we go so you can see how we’re progressing and feel confident about the results.
Whether this is your first headshot session or one of many, I’ll make sure we capture a range of high-quality, versatile images that truly represent you.
What happens after the session?
Straight after the shoot, you’ll receive a link to your private online gallery where you can review all the images at your own pace.
If you’re working with an agent, you can share the gallery link with them to help narrow down the best shots.
Once you’ve chosen your favorites, I’ll professionally retouch them (adjusting lighting, removing blemishes, etc.) and deliver your final high-resolution images in color and black & white within a week.
If you’re unsure which images to choose, I’m happy to provide advice, or you can consult your agent for guidance.
Can I request additional retouched images later?
Yes! Additional retouched images are available for £25 each, and payment can be made online.
A deposit is required when booking to secure your slot.
The remaining payment is due on the day of your shoot, and I accept wire transfers or card payments.
Do I need to credit you for my headshots?
Yes, I kindly ask that all headshots are credited to Kirill Kozlov Photography whenever they’re shared or published.
